10 bolt question

10 bolt question OK guys,
here is the deal i have good 10 bolt in my car and its been holding up pretty well for the car. I dont have the cash to go to the 12 bolt. so, here is my question i have heard that the stronger axels are one of the best ways to save the 10 bolt is that ture ?
also, i have talking to a few 10 bolt guys telling my something about a T/A gridle/cover how in the world does that make the 10 bolt stronger ?
im running a small converter right now and still pulling 1.7 almost 1.6 60FT but i know that my 2400 conventor is killing my 60FT and i could be pulling alot faster. so can someone help me out. I have tried a search for it and most of repsonse is that the 10 bolt is crap well when you dont have 2,200 bucks laying around you have to go a different way who can help a fellow Fbody person out ?
