Default really need some help guys

Hey guys, I have a RAM clutch system(6000 series) with an adjustable master from Futral motorsports in my car(2002 Z06) right now. About ten weeks ago, I blew my motor and so the car went into storage. I got the car back two weels ago. The new motor runs strong.

Right now, I cant speed-shift into 3rd or 4th gear. However, this only happens if I am redlining the car. If I shift below 6k rpm, the gear engages just fine no matter how fast I shift.

Everything worked perfectly when the car went into storage 10 weeks ago. I am trying to figure out how to tackle the problem.

We have tried to set the engagement point as far off the floor as possible. This is what the guys at RAM suggested. Still doesnt help.

I am thinking about trying a new adjustable master cylinder and also changing to GM synchromesh.

I had my synchros and shift forks replaced not too long ago so the tranny itself should not be the problem. The fact that the problem is RPM related leads me to guess its something with the hydraulics.

Got any ideas for me?

Here is a quote I got from one of the older posts. Would this apply in my case?

"My mechanic says that when my clutch was installed, the installer didn't do the drill out mod on the master cylinder. He mentioned something about in 3rd gear and higher that the hose for the tranny fluid is half the size as the lower gears."

The hydraulics are the same for all gears. The 6 speed is not like an automatic. There is only one master cylinder and slave cylinder....those are your hydraulics. If they were the problem, I'd suspect trouble in all gears. I'd suspect a linkage problem or a tweaked 3-4 shift fork. Just my thoughts.

Just went out and banged the gears. Everything is perfect shifting at 5800RPM. Tried shifting at 6500RPM and it wont let me into gear smoothly and grinds loudly.

Basically, I wanted to know whether the fact this problem is RPM related could rule any options out. Does the transmission screw up only at high rpms or does the master only do it at certain rpms?

I am trying to rule things out.

It sounds like your clutch is dragging slightly and at high rpm it will cause enough rotation in the trans to make it difficult to shift. Just my thoughts.....
