Ford 9" users inside please... What type of carrier are you guys using? I want to go with the 35 spline, but don't want a locker or spool. I could go with the 31 spline, but then I might as well get a 12 bolt. What are my options? Is everyone just using the 31 axles? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Re: Ford 9" users inside please... I have a locker with 35 splines. I know you cant get a posi with the 35 spline axles but I'm pretty sure you can get a 33 spline posi for them.

Re: Ford 9" users inside please... From Moser I just ordered a 35 spline, Detroit locker and 3.70 gears.
I think my posi is going out soon so I wanted to be prepared. Moser has a 2 day turn around time.

Re: Ford 9" users inside please... Funny how guys think the only difference in axles is the number of splines. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> 31 spline moser axles are OK for most mid 9 second combos.

Re: Ford 9" users inside please... Roger that Terry. I'm just trying to find out whether a locker would be best, or a posi carrier. When I look at the options for a 35 spline axle, all I can see that will carry one is either a Detriot Locker, or a spool. Looks like I'll be going with the 31 spline posi carrier of some sort. Auburn Pro series?
Re: Ford 9" users inside please... If you want a posi you are better off with a 12 bolt, the posi's out for the 9" are not that hot IMHO. If you want a locker or spool, 9" is the way to go.
