Transmission Pan Was wanting to know if anybody had put a deep transmission pan on a A4? What kind did you use and any clearance issues or is this just a dumb idea? I have a 3200 Vig converter and live in Houston where its hot this should cool down the fluid quite a bit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Transmission Pan A few months back I had a B&M 24K transmission cooler, and a B&M aluminum 3Qt. deeper pan installed on my 2001 Z28 A4. This particular pan does hang down quite (sp) far, however not as far as my 3" round Y pipe, and not nearly as far as the SLP bolt on subframe connecters. My car is stock height. I do not have any problems in bottoming out when going over dips or speed bumps. You may have some issues using this pan on a lowered vehicle.

Re: Transmission Pan I read that some of the guys put on a pan from the Chevy Taho, it has a plug and is a little deeper. I think there are dealers that will sell it for under $100. I wish I had a part number for you but I'm sure that if you called the parts counter they would confirm that the gasket is the same.
