Help - Loud clanking in the Rear

Help - Loud clanking in the Rear I wish I had a cool story to explain how this happened but there's nopt much to tell. Yesterday pulling out of my driveway I heard this repetitive loud bang or clank coming from the rear of the car. Now this only happens at low speeds and making hard right turns. What could be wrong?
The only thing of note is that a few weeks ago at the track I noticed(from video tape) that near the end of the day my left wheel started smoking long before my right wheel in the burnout pit. Possibly my posi is on the fritz? Other than that I haven't been all that hard on the car lately. No street racing due to tickets and only a hand full of massive burnouts. What gives???
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help - Loud clanking in the Rear Sounds like your posi. Mine was making the same noises with the stock rearend. It only did it making sharp turns. It blew up a short time later during a burnout at the track. <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" /> lol
