98 vette gears???
98 vette gears??? I have a buddy thats wanting to put 3.73's in his 98 vette and I can't find a place to get them! and also what gears would it take?? I'm use to 9" 12 bolt 10 bolt and dana 60's not the independent set up like the vettes have..

The axle portion of the trans-axle is manufactured by Getrag. The gears are made from a couple of different manufacturers now, but it is an 8.25" ring gear. The ratios available are:
3.42
3.73
3.90
4.10
They avarage around $385.00 a set. I take it that you will be having some do the gear install ?? I dont recommend that you either of you try and tackle this unless you are well versed in the Getrag transaxle. From that statement... I would recommend that you give the boys at RPM Transmissions a call... and use the exchange program.
