? on B&M hammer shifter

Default ? on B&M hammer shifter

I was wondering if it just like a stock shifter. Or is there special stuff I have to do?

Do you mean does it fit just like the stock shifter? With mine I converted from a T-56 so I had a big hold in my floor. I got some aluminum bar from home depot that are about 1/4 inch thick by about 2 inches wide. Out of this I cut two pieces to go across the center of the hole in the floor. Mounted those in there and then mounted the shifter to them. This left about 1-2 inches on either side of the bars that was still exposed to the ground under the car so I got some really thin probably 22ga sheet metal and cut it to cover up the other openings. After they were in place I got some high temp silicone sealant and went around the whole thing to seal it up. Here's a few pics of the install that I have

That cool pics but I was talking about the shifting it self. can you just pull it up and back into gear or do you have to do other things?

Pull it back into gear except for park and reverse, you need to pull up on the lever... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Takes a little getting used to a first, but once you know and figure out where they are its easy, just like driving a regular auto, except you get to shift it.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
