I saw one of these in Jeg's. Would it be stronger than the stock Moser? I bet it'd be lighter. Give me your expert opinion, please. Thanks, partner.

Re: Fireball...how about a Strange aluminum Daytona-style pinion support?
problem is I dunno what pinion support they use for a stock moser.
I'm not certain that the strange daytona pinion support is billet (look at the price differential from the listed billet race one ) or even aluminum for that matter
looking at randy's site (the one I showed you earlier)

The Daytona pinion support is originally made from cast iron, and now Ford also makes a cast aluminum version. The outer diameter of the rear pinion bearing is 2.740". The pinion will be about ¼" shorter through the yoke because the bearings are closer together in the center than a standard yoke. "Daytona" supports are made of aluminum or nodular iron, and usually come with the bearing races. Rear pinion bearing #HM89443, or #HM89444 (the latter is used with some pro gears which have a larger radius on the pinion head. Check gear to verify radius). Aluminum version does NOT hold up well for high horsepower or endurance use due to cast design.

but they do sell an anodized billet daytona support (what I run)...this would be my recommendation:

The Yukon Gear Daytona support is made from aircraft aluminum, machined to close tolerances, and hard anodized finish. Unlike other aftermarket aluminum supports, these heavy-duty supports have an oil return passage that allows oil to flow through the front pinion bearing and greatly extends the bearing life. Yukon supports are recommended for drag racing, circle track, road racing, trucks, and high-performance street use. They come with Timken bearing races already installed.

that is only available from www.diferentials.com
