Question Bolt In -Vs- Weld In LCA Relocation Brackets

I know what they mean as I have the bolt in now, but when you weld in the LCA relocation brackets what are the 4 bolts for, there are 2 more than the bolt in brackets?

UMI sells separate relocation brackets made for aftermarket rear ends like the 9".

Can you weld them in before you install the rear in?

I want to paint the rear before I install it into my car.

i would go ahead and paint the rear. you shouldn't have to worry about repainting it since the brackets weld to your car instead of the rear. if you get the umi weld in brackets that is made for a 9" remember the threads on the 4 bolts is slightly different. 2 of them has a slightly different pitch for some reason, well mine did anyways.

No the brackets weld to the rear.
And you need to have everything bolted up to get them welded on properly.
You need to make sure the LCA bolt hole aligns with each adjustment hole without moving anything except the LCA.
