gear whining
gear whining Recently upgraded to some Motive 4.11s on my stock rear end. Install was ok although the place was quite slow (took two days). First test drive and there is quite a bit of whining. I take it back and they say come back the next day (today). They also told me that the polyurthane (sp?) bushings on my LCAs and PHR transmit the sound. I knew that, but just wanted to make sure.
I read up on gear installs and had directions showing how to line everything up etc. The install was picture perfect. I trust the guy that did it, even though he took his time.
Got it all back together and it still whines a bit. Mostly in 3rd and 4th gear from 1500-2000 rpms. With the radio on, you have to try and listen for it, but it's still there. It's noticeable at other times also, but I don't think it's too bad.
Should I expect some whine? Or should I do something about it?
