Default Anyone else having TCS problems?

Just curious if anyone who has ordered anything from TCS, especially a transmission, is having any problems or delays in getting their stuff? I've got a Revelator Stage I and a 3200/2.5 on the way, but I'm having a great deal of difficulty getting this stuff. I talked with Derek on May 5th and we put in the order to get the tranny and converter built. He said I was looking at two weeks, so that would be May 19th when it was ready to ship out. I called May 16th, the Friday before Monday May 19th to see if it was going to be ready to go, and was told that it should be ready to go out on May 23rd now. That was going to work. After I was told the initial two weeks I got a day job to supplement my night job and told them I could start June 2nd because I figured that would be PLENTY of time to get the car back. A full two weeks from the time the tranny was supposed to leave until the time I started work.

Well I called today, May 27th, to see if the tranny and converter went out Friday, and was told that it should be ready to go this Friday, May 30th. Last year my car was down the entire month of May because Suncoast was giving me the runaround about my Raptor hood, and I can't help but feel the same. Although Derek and Vanessa at TCS have been so kind and nice to me, unlike the rude folks at Suncoast whom I will never deal with again, I still feel like this keeps getting pushed back and back, and it's come to the point now where it's going to jepordize my new job because I won't be able to make it there. I can ride to my night job with a friend but for this day job I'm on my own, and without my car running I have no way to get down there. I know it's the start of summer, everyone is modding, and I'm sure TCS is slammed, but Derek told me two weeks and first and it's turned out to be double that time, and again an entire May without my car because of a company not getting me a product on time.

I talked with Vanessa this morning about it, and about how these delays have gotten to the point of interfering with my life by not allowing me to get to this new job next week, and her and Derek both are great and she said she'd see what she can do and would call me back. So I'll update after I hear something. I'm just kind of down and out about this whole deal. I want nothing more than a running car again. Almost wish I never would have gotten the wise idea to get a converter in the first place. Would have saved me alot of headache. I'm just curious if anyone else who ordered through TCS for a converter or especially a transmission is having any delays in getting your products? Thanks for any input.

I have a converter on order with them right now. 3800 w/2.5 str. I ordered the converter on May 9th, and had my payment in on the 14th. I talked with vanessa last week, and she said it should be going out today. Hopefully that was able to happen. Like you said, Derek and Vanessa are great to deal with, and I'm sure they'll take care of you. From my dealings with them, it seams like they have a lot going on over there right now.

Well, Vanessa got back to me today and got me the paperwork I needed to fill out. Going to fax it in tomorrow morning, so hopefully the ball will be rolling and stuff on it's way. I'm not at all trying to make the folks at TCS look bad, hands down the best customer service I've dealt with, very friendly, and they are taking EXTREMELY good care of me, just the initial timeframe didn't get hit and it's put me in a bad position what with me starting this new job next Monday. Hopefully it'll get worked out though. Good things come to those who wait, I'll just have to work that patience God gave me I know they've got alot on their shoulders.

I ordered a TC from them at the beggining of the month arrived today ... but the better part of the last 2 weeks has been on UPS's shoulders.

I agree with the customer service being great, they are very busy and the people at the shop suffered a close personal loss earlier this month also ...

My converter came in 15 days, just as promised but honestly, unless your actually talking with them, the customer service is in my opinion...needs alot of work. Terrible at returning emails on a current order... and no return calls after a message was left. This was on a tranny order too. I will give them the beneift of the doubt...they are busy because the product is suppose to be good. They are busy because Derek know his stuff and Vanessa is great on the phone...They have something to learn about maintaining the reputation.
Underpromise, over deliver...and return calls.
I do plan to continue doing biz with them and this is probably a "busy season" issue.

They were great with helping me out. I got my converter in 1 week. I'm sure they are doing there best. You'll realize the wait was well worth it when you get your order! Good Luck.

They are a bit slow about returning emails, but they seem to be doing alot better here lately. Also, calling them is the way to go. If you dont get them in the morning, call again later. If you talk to Vanessa or Derek, both are top notch. As a matter of fact, Derek talked to me today about all this as he saw the post, and explained some things to me. He's went over the process of how the trannies are assembled, what all is involved, and also some personal stuff about life. It's like talking to a friend of mine when I talk with Derek, he's good people He doesn't treat me like a customer, but as an equal, that is very good IMO. Don't see that alot with some companies. He takes the time to explain stuff even when he is busy.

I know why my stuff has gotten delayed, Derek took the time to let me know what was up, and all is well. He really is going the extra mile for me and after I get this stuff in and running and see exactly what I can and can not say, you can bet that even if the car just runs, I'll have great things to say about the folks at TCS simply because they are taking very good care of me in what I thought might be a very bad situation (tranny or converter going out, thus leaving me without transportation for just about the entire month of May).

Derek also left me a message and I realize they just had some issues to deal with in the short term. You are correct, when you do get to talk with him, which is easy if you can call a few times, he is very thorough and like talking to a friend. Knowledge is power, and he has it. Vanessa, Im sure, is the brains behind the operation though.
