Please Help! Broken spring?

Hey guys, just the other night I was pushing down on my clutch. As I pushed down on it, I heard a pop. I looked around, and on the floor, there was a spring like coil, kind of rolled in to a circle coil. What could this be? Is it an easy fix? What should I do? I appreciate your help, Thanks a lot!!!

That is your clutch return spring. It's a PITA to replace, GM part number is 102788874. I broke my stock one at around 15,000 miles, replaced it. Then broke the replacement at around 19,000 miles. I'm still driving around without the spring.

I would just leave the spring out, they're prone to breaking over and over again and it really doesn't do much.
