help! something broke.

i was at the track this past weds. on my last run i heated my tires up (m/t et street rad.) dumped it then when i shifted 1-2 something snapped. the car still moves but there is a sound of somehing smacking the floor board underneath my seat. at first i thought it was the torque arm but it wasnt. then i thought my rear was toast but im not sure on this one yet. next i thought maybe something in the trans. but it shifts in all gears smoothly and makes no noise. im pissed and dont exactly not what im looking for. maybe a tranny mount?? crossmember? if anyone has experienced this any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's under the seat, thats about where my Y pipe hits.
Other than that it sounds like a broken trans mount.

i have had a broken tranny mount and it didnt sound like this. im actually kinda hoping its the rear so i can get a 9". any one else have any ideas?

It could be anything... get under the car and start with a good visual. look at all the mounts. check the under body for and signs where it looks like something was hitting like series of small dents, bare metal, scraped undercoating, loose bolts, everyhitng under the car. If you are not sure on the rearend just do a couple more launches and see if its goes! lol!
