Default Final Word on Poly mount?

I went ahead and got a Poly trans mount but whats the best way to install it? I read the post from 2 weeks ago and no one seemed to agree on a good way to install it with out having crazy vibration. Any body have a proven method?

The poly mount will feel harsher than the stock mount. Just as much as if the mount was made out of solid steel. As far as the install goes, I just placed a jack under the trans, pulled the brace down, swapped the mount and put it back together. Allow the trans to recenter before you tighten the mount to the cross member.

after reading around on here, I came up with the best way being:

don't use the metal plate!
grind the hump off on the mount so it's flat.

I still had some vibration but not too bad.

If you are talking about Energy Suspension, I called them a few weeks ago to order one and they told me not to buy 98-02 mount until the revision came out. They said that the vibration was due to a design problem, I think they said it was to high.

Well I did the poly trans mount with the shim, it seems to have worked. The car does not have allot of noise coming from the drivetrain tunnel area or anything. But i can notice some vibration at low rpm, i think some of this will go away as the mount breaks in. Just thought i would let everyone who is wondering know.
