help advice needed 1998 firebird a4 3.23. what is going to give me better all-round performance 3.73 or say 2600 stall with str of 2.o. will that converter feel tight? I am running 245/50/16 and that is what I am staying with.
Re: help advice needed If I were you I'd get at least a 3000 stall. I recently had the same question you have and I went with the converter. I 've senn people post their timeslips on here from just getting gears and I wasn't very impressed with the numbers. I got the Vig3200 and am very happy with it, it made a huge difference even with my 2.73 gear. If you plan on racing at the track you will need to get some drag radials in order to hook up.If you go that route and get drag radials I'd get the M/T E.T. Streets, I run them they hook up great. I just ordered a 3.73 gear and plan on getting it installed within the next 2-3 weeks. I hope this helps you out.
