Default another thought for strengthening 10 bolt....

as i said, i was looking through jegs, and i saw that eaton makes posi units for 10 bolts. it is a 7.625 posi for trucks with 28 spline axles. would this work in our cars? what do yall think......

Ours already come with 28 spline axles. GM did this years ago on our cars.

Not to pee on your parade, but why bother with the 10-bolt? No matter how badass your housing or your posi you're still running that wimpy ring gear. These things work(ed) okay behind Monzas and S-10's, but they have no place behind an LS1! Hell, even my ZR2 came with an 8.5" 10-bolt - even that would've been a step in the right direction.

the weak link in the 10-bolt rear end is the tiny gears. They are just too weak to hold any power.

If you're going to beat on the rear end, you WILL put in a beefier rear end.
