I am looking to get a better et and mph.Looking for a better 60ft and also want to no if it will help keep my rpms up when it shifts into 3rd gear ,rpms drop alot going into third i think its hurting me on the spray. Any insite would be helpful.

Your rpms shouldn't be dropping too much on the spray. I would think that you would hold 4500+ on the spray. Nitrous makes good torque so that would be fine.

3.42s should help you trap higher on the spray and probably ET better if you have traction out of the hole. 2.73s give a long first gear that is nitrous friendly.

I think the carrier for 2.73's is a seris 2 and the 3.42's require a seris 3. So there maybe a little more to it than just changing gears.

If you get the 3.42 "thick" gear from Moser you will not have to worry about changing carriers.

You need the thick gears for your 2 series carrier. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> 3.42's will be fine for what you are looking for.

yup, i swaped mine, i went from 2.73 to 3.42, A4 trans am.
You definetely will feel the difference <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
though with my vig 3200 and new gears my mileage sucks <img border="0" alt="[cry]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
