Default 9 inch 3 channel done!!!

I have the 9 inch 3 channel abs working on the prototype finally! It uses the stock 10 bolt sensor and will be available in the new Midwest Chassis & Performance, Inc. fabricated housings. I still have a little r&d to do, but theres no reason this won't be available in the next week or so. It is setup in a Strange iron case and a Truetrac diff, which is the most popular setup.

The torque arm on my rearends is available in both solid and poly bushed front mounts which solves most of the noise associated with tunnel mounted arms.

The torque arms are made from 1-1/4 chromemoly tubing and have no bends in the bottom tube which creates a potential weak spot for the cars with a lot of power. It is adjustable at all ends and feature Aurora heim joints. Both tunnel mount and trans xmember mount torque arms are available and part of the fab housing package.

I'm not going to post any pics of the 3 channel abs setup, as this is a first in the industry.

Excellent, someone that is finally taking a chance at mass producing the setup. You are far from the first one in getting this to work...Have had it running in the 9 inch for 6 years now. It too uses the stock 10 bolt sensor. I am sure others have had it running way longer than this.
All this aside I am interested in seeing how you did it. Post up some pictures. I am looking to purchase another 9 inch before next summer. Hopefully you are fully up and running with mass production of them by then.

i'm sure other people have done it, but not to offer them to the public as an option on a rearend.

i have not checked the clearances on a spool. chances are that someone thats using a spool will have the abs deleted from the car already. thats why i am testing with a truetrac. not that it can't be done, but i haven't tried yet. i have a old used moser spool here, and a new Strange. i will try in the near future to see, but the truetrac is the one for now.

cost will be around 100-150 as an option on the new rearends, same as the 4 channel. if you want one mounted in a used stock type housing , it will be more.

So sorry if this is a stupid question, but if I bought a new housing could I just use everything elsefrom my current Moser Driveline solutions setup?? Is it easy to put together?

Thanks look forward to this!! Now if I can stop the TA bracket slamming into the floor this will be the perfect rear!

How is this project progressing. I am very interested in some information on this ASAP.

its all done, just have to get a few housings setup for it. 3 channel abs will all be on a per housing order, but the parts are in stock. build time will not be any longer than anything else. i should be able to ship out assemblies within a few days of recieving an order. if you currently have a 9 inch setup, all the parts will(should) transfer to my housings. if you have a 3 channel setup, the center section will have to be sent to me to be retrofitted.

So, if a guy has an F-Body and wants a complete package to switch over to a 9-inch in his back yard, what all parts come in it and how much does it cost? Thanks.

its a complete package or parts, whatever you want. base package is a real fabricated housing with drain and multi-hole lca brackets, housing mounted torque arm, trans or tunnel mount front crossmember w/ adjustable torque arm link and driveshaft loop, 31 spline axles, Strange nodular case w/ posi and gear of choice. the base price is 2400.00 for the package and there's many options available, such as 3 or 4 channel abs, truetrac diff, etc. and its all bolt-in.

What kind of milling machine are you using to clamp a Ford 9 inch case and drill a hole for a stock sensor with a 8.8 ABS ring?

BTW, do you do 25.5 cages? Looked at your site and seen a chassis car in the background, I'm looking for really clean install. Car is a 1986 Camaro with T-tops, I know but I've gone 8.90's without any glass breakage...

no milling needed. i do have a Bridgeport, but it's not used for this operation.

yea, i do 25.5, 25.2, 25.1E, whatever.

look in the midwest members area. i posted some pics of a cage in a t-top 4th gen car there. it's as clean, well-fitting, professionally welded as you're gonna get. i custom bend everything to the car. no universal fit stuff here. and best of all.... it's affordable!
