Question How do you install 9" center section studs?

I'm starting to put my 9" together but have big problems getting the studs in.

I've read on here that you can pull the studs in by the nuts, what a F'ing joke! Whoever thought of that should be shot. I've should have known better.

As I was trying to get the 1st one in, it broke off, and it wasn't even close to being bottomed out.

What is the proper way to get them in, a press of some sort since I can't get a hammer on it?

You have got to be kidding me!

I stacked a few washers and used a breaker bar with a deep well socket and it broke off when I tried to back the nut off.

I just called Scott at DLS and he said pull them through with the nuts but I should have used grease on the bolt and washer so it slides better.

I actually thought about that for a split second but tried without anyways.

Now that I'm down 1, I'm just going to get an ARP bolt kit from my local Jegs tomorrow.

I wish they would have been installed from MOSER or at the very least provide better instructions on assembling a rear end.

Just did mine yesturday. Stacked 7 washers up and put rtv in the base of the bolt. Used a 1/2 inch drive rachet and they all pulled through nicely. No problems at all.

I didn't use an impact , but I used a 3/8 drive air ratchet . Same as every one else , stack a couple washers , put on nut and press the trigger ,loosen nut .. repeat .

Same as everyone else, stacked washers on it sprayed PB blaster on em and just pulled them home with a long handled ratchet.

Those suckers did get a lil hot from the process though. None broke and they were all straight as an arrow, the center section dropped in nicely.

I have seen that happen with the crappy studs and nuts that Moser sends with their stuff... ARP is the only way to go 3/8 AN washers and 3/8 24 nylock nuts
