Default rear end question

New to the scene. Is there a 12 bolt out of an older car/truck that is the same/close width to a 93 LT1? Thanks.

Alot of big trucks have 12 bolts. You can get one for close to nothing from a junk yard. But you'll have to custom make some parts so that shocks, control arms, panhard rod and torque arm fit. I don't think there is a ready to be dropped in one. Most people just buy them ready to be dropped in.

Was just curious if one had the same width to prevent it from being shortened. I can deal with fabing some new brackets etc. just didn't want to spend the cash on shortning and new axles.
