my 98 Z is a 3 channel, no TCS. The 3 channel rear has one sensor in the housing, right above the carrier's teeth. The 4 channel rear has 2 sensors, one on each axle for the traction control. I don't wanna give you false info (I've never done it, just read about it) but to convert the 4 channel to 3 you have to drill a hole in the housing above the carrier (use your old rearend for reference) and install the sensor. As for the axles I'm not sure if you have to swap those out or not but I think you're ok running the 4 channel axles in it. Do a search there's talk about it every now and then. Oh and I'm also not sure if the 4 channel carrier's have the teeth for the sensor like the 3 channel carriers do. I believe they do but don't rely on my word.

I believe you can delete the ABS pretty easily. There's more threads about it if you want to search for it. I've never read up on it though.

abs is nice if you do a lot of emergency braking. Otherwise, you will never know it's not working.
