it's Strange's version of the Dana 60 rear. I have one in my car, my only real complaint with it is that it is noisy as hell. I even had the diff cover off and checked their gear pattern. They have it set up practicaly 100% perfect. I questioned them about it and they said they've been having that problem only with the fbody cars. But other than that I like it and from what I know it's probably gonna be pretty much the strongest rear you can get for an F-body.

You have to shorten your drive shaft to make them fit. I also herd the Torque arm mount isn't that good and tweaks the houseing makeing the gears whine. I almost bought one but elected for the 9" instead with the 35 spline axles and detroit locker. More than enough for what I am going to accomplish.

Strange said they think the torque arm may have something to do with it but they also said the 12bolts make noise as well just not as loud. If you want a quiet rear don't by the S60 but if you can live with noise and you want something pretty much unbreakable that's your choice. If you want you could do like Jays00ss and get a 9" rear. That will be lighter than the s60 and still offer plenty of strength.

Thanks for the come back.
Well if its a howler I'm not interested. My ride is a street cruiser vert. I'm already having to completely rebuild the ****** 10-bolt but if all the alternatives whine too what other choices do we street riders have? I sincerely hope GM puts a decent rear end in the new Camaro that will bolt directly into our F-bodies.

as far as I knew they are going with an IRS rear. I personally think that is completey stupid but I guess to most it's a good idea because it will provide a nicer ride, but for strength, those things are garbage as far as I'm concerned. So I wouldn't expect to be swaping over a 2009 camaro rear into a 4th gen.
