2/3 series Torsen diffs: is the center block the same?
So I bought a 3 series Torsen and a gear install kit from a guy. I guess I got what I paid for because I opened the box to see that the center block that slides out (whatever you call it) was missing! The guy swears he shipped it but is sure as h*ll didn't make it to me . Anyway, will that piece out of my 2 series fit the 3 series? If not, I don't suppose anyone would have a blown 3 series torsen unit with that part still in tact that they'd want to get rid of??

I would guess that it is the same. It fits between the axles and they are the same length in both rears so that block should be the same width.

It's called a paddle, and you should be fine with that one if it's in good shape. You only need a different paddle with 4.10 gears! Hope this helps.
