Shift kits TransGo vs TCI What is the difference between the TCI and the TransGo shift kits? I read somewhere that Colonel said the TCI is easier to install than the Transgo. I just ordered a TCI convertor for my car, and was wanting to throw a shift kit in the same time I did the convertor. This is gonna be for a 90% street- 10% strip car, and driveability is not a concern. What do you guys recomend?

Re: Shift kits TransGo vs TCI The TCI kit cost about $65.00 (TranGo about $109.00) and it is the same kit used in the Street Fighter 4L60E transmission. You could possibly get the TCI kit at a lower cost from Summit or Jegs. The shift quality of TCI vs. TransGo, both are about the same feel. Colonel has the TCI kit in his car; ask him about the shift quality. The TransGo kit is more difficult to install, a professional will need to install the kit. The car owner because of the instructions being easy to follow can install the TCI kit. The install time for TCI is about 2 hours (average) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> and for the TransGo, it is about 4 times as long (about $300 labor). <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Re: Shift kits TransGo vs TCI I had a TransGo kit installed in a 700R4 and including the price of the kit it was about $375!! I`m going to give the TCI kit a try and try the install myself. Will see.(Worried)
