don't hold your breath!! lrry has been trying to call him for the last week to get a price qoute on some street lites and has heard nothing!! Guess the Economy must be good in IL because we can't get this guy to take our money LOL!! kind of sucks because HIFBA site has spent close to $10,000 in 6 months. and it seems like we get the run around somtimes from eric. I orderd my rear on FEB 4 of 2009 and got it april 8 2009. just somthing to think about SICLSX.. not saying we do not have a nice rear in our car's I just think that eric is over work and does not have time to build rears and give customer service at the sametime.

Yep, still waiting patiently for the street lite qoute and to make the total sale over $6k . The 3" short rear and 1/2" studs will do me no good with stock offset wheels and I have to get tires on them still. Wouldnt be so much of a issue if the car was not in my buddy's garage and needs to get out the same day the rear end shows up. Hopefully I can spend some $$ tommorow. If not I will order from Summit I guess.

So I deff just spent the last few days here at work reading this entire thread. I am for sure going with Midwest Chassis for a 9'' rear later on in the future.

My work filter won't let me access your site Eric, I'll have to check it out at home sometime.

Does your long TQ Arm; body mounted crossmember bolt up on the same location as the UMI 3-point SFC's?

And does the short TQ Arm bolt up where the pointless stamped peice of steel sits? Most of the pics are blocked too so its hard for me to see where they mounted.

After I do somemore research and take a look at your site I'll get with you on a price quote.

Do you offer a Military Discount?

Ive noticed the best shops dont have very great websites. You arent missing too much

I have the long torque arm, it mounts to the trans mount. The short one mounts where the pointless "brace" mounts.

I'm sure its in this long thread, but what are the advantages/disadvantages of the long and short torque arm setups?

I had luck with emailing him. I must of changed my order three times in a week and never had any problems getting ahold of him. He told me two weeks and that's how long it took to pick it up and that was earlier this month.

Eric explained it to me before, forgot the specifics. The longer arm was better for very high horsepower cars and lower to mid range powered cars would benefit from the short arm.

Maybe Eric will chime in.

I believe it was for road racing vs drag setups.

here's the general rule of thumb:

long arm= n/a, blower, N2O cars over 700whp using auto/t.brake or manual trans. also any cars doing roadcourse/autocross... long arm will have less tendency to wheelhop under braking.

short arm= cars under 700whp, drag radials, turbo cars, auto/footbrake.

the long arm will have less hit on the tires at the launch, but better downtrack traction. the short arm will have a more aggressive launch, but higher powered cars will chance going on the bumper if the conditions and power are correct. every car is different, and there are many variables that go into the equation, but this is what we have found through our own cars and customer feedback.

at the current time, no. Not that we don't appreciate what you all do for us, but you are buying manufacturer direct. I do not have a dealer network with tier pricing established, so there are no discounts available. I am a small chassis shop and focus more on custom builds rather than large volume manufacturing and dealers. package all this together with low overhead costs and you get great quality, durability, customer service, and the best prices.
