Default ford 9" soilid pinion spacer help

i know normally you set a preload on the pinion in inch pounds with a crush sleeve and shims.

with a solid pinion spacer, doesnt it just get torqued down, or is there other measures required to install this piece?

ive searched the net and only found info on crush sleeve installation.
thanks!

You set it by inch/lbs also. You torque it down and if it is too tight you add shim, too loose and you take shim away.

Yes in order to set the preload you have to add and subtract shims from the spacer kit and make sure you get the proper preload or it will be just like over crushing or not crushing a crush sleeve which will lead to problems,
