LINE LOCK AND SHORT THROW SHIFTER
I use the B&M ripper. In my opinion, it feels better than the stock shifter, the Hurst, and the Pro 5.0. Check out the Hurst Line Lock package at Thunder Racing. It goes for about $215.00.

I have the Pro 5.0 and love it.
I had the Ripper in my 2000 Camaro and loved it.
The Pro 5.0 let's the handle be cut plus it's a little more solid of a feel when you slam gears.
The Ripper is a smoother shifter.
As for line locks, I have the SLP one which is fine. It works very well. It has a black toggle switch. When you want to enable it, you press on the brake, flip the switch, and pump the brakes once or twice. Then all you do is give it some gas and release the clutch and smoke the tires to all heck <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" /> .
