All depends on the slip yoke you purchased.

The same u-joint size as you are running in the rear. Its a conversion fitting to adapt the stock driveshaft to the 1350 yoke. NAPA or Precision number: 447 or 447x for the heavy duty I believe. Neapco or Carquest uses pn: 2-1153.

I usually include one with our viper conversions for the guys who intend to use their stock driveshaft but I guess it got left out of the package. I'll have one in the mail tomorrow for you if you can wait.

Thanks,
Jonathan

thanks jonathan, but i've gotta have the car done this weekend (hoping for tomorrow (thurs.)). it's going to tulsa on monday to get tuned. i shouldn't have too much trouble finding one around here. it's no big deal man, you guys have been good enough to me anyway. the car is still on jackstands with the engine still disassembled. it's not setting me back any at all, unless of course i don't find one tomorrow

i know it's different in different areas, but our O'Reilly guys are awsome and the autozone crew is a bunch of retards. it's the exact opposite in Supulpa, OK....but that's another story....

if our o'reilly's doesn't have them, there are 4 more in my immediate area and they can get me one the next day if it's in springfield, MO...i should be ok....

what's the best way to install the front u joint? do i need the retaining clips that it came with? there aren't any grooves in the stock driveshaft to accomodate a retaining clip and i don't see them doing much good with them just sitting in there....i could be wrong...

The clips that hold the u-joint in are on the inner side of the cup. The larger side of the u-joint that will go to the new yoke uses external clips I believe. The clip will actually snap into a groove on the u-joint cup, not the driveshaft.

i think i got it...the 2 snap rings are where they're supposed to be, but the new u-joint also came with 2 bronze/copper rings....are those just for certain applications or do i need to install them somewhere...i don't really see where they could go...?

thanks
