ADJ Master clyd I called Thunder Racing today and they told me that if I ran a Spec stage 3 that i would have to run a adj master clyd, Is this true or not I don't wont to run It i was going to keep my stock one in.

Re: ADJ Master clyd Im not sure on that, but Ive heard that in the past. If I were you, I would go ahead and upgrade to the adjustable one. Ive heard that you can make your stock one adjustable or something of that nature! The problem with the stock one is that the clutch fluid gets so hot, it boils not allowing the shaft on the clutch master to function properly. The line for it has a restrictor on it where the base of the problem is. It doesnt get the kind of flow that it needs, not allowing the fluid to flow correctly causing it to stick to the floor. I had the same problem when I went to the track for the first time with all stock clutch system. So with the pedal sticking, it would make it almost impossible for me to speed shift! If you have a car made before 2001, I would upgrade the clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing, slave, and clutch master. In '01 and '02 cars, I think they upgraded the slave and put in a ZO6 clutch. Well I hope that helps and Im sure if I made any mistakes, someone will correct me.

spec clutches have never had adjustable masters be mandatory, but an option.
i have an adjustable stock master instead of the mcleods that are not doing so well these days... they are easy to make adjustable
the pedal on the stock clutch sticks because of the stock pressure plate fingers being weak.
paceparts.com or sdpc can get you stock hydraulics cheap (check to the right)
why not call the people that make the clutch?
