Install Kit Necessary When Switching to 4.10s? I'm considering purchasing a set of Motive 4.10s, and noticed that there is an option to purchase the gears with a "Master Install Kit". Would this be money well spent? I'm not even sure what is included in the install kit, but if it will be a valuable improvement over the gears alone, I wouldn't mind saving up the extra cash.

Re: Install Kit Necessary When Switching to 4.10s? i guess it depends on you. i just put pinion bearings in when i had my gears installed. and my car had 46000 miles on it. it's still going strong.

Re: Install Kit Necessary When Switching to 4.10s? my carrier bearings were pretty bad and the car only had 25,000 miles on it, axle bearings were fine, with an M-6 I'de recommend atleast the full kit.
