4:10's+26" tire VS. 3:73's+28" tire ?'s
Guys.....not sure if the is the right forum, but....
Currently running 4:10's with a 26" tire(Nitto 555R) on a 10 bolt. Upgrading to a Moser 12 bolt w/373's on a 28 x 11.5 x 15 ET Street this weekend. The ET Street is technically 27.6' tall.
I like the feel of the 4:10 on 26"ers, and my question is how to calc. what the effective ratio will be with the 373's on a 27.6" tire, and what will be the difference in rpm's between the two at a trap speed of 120.00+ mph at 6500. This is an M6 car w/417 rwhp/398rwtq.
I understand the 28" tire is gonna help w/the hook, but not sure how the 373 is gonna affect the roll out beyond the launch. I do have a new set of 4:11's if we determine it will benifit max effort.
Ant thoughts/advice/calcs. would be greatly appreciated! TIA!!!!

Your going backwards with 3.73s and 28" tires because you will lose all of your 3rd and 4th gear pull because the gearing will be too tall for 28" tires. If your set on 28" tires i would go with 4.10-4.30 gear to help out with your rpms across the traps.

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> That's what I know. The 12 bolt currently has 373's in it. Do have 4:11's for it but my question was how to actually calc. the RPM/MPH differences between the two tires/two gears.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
