Default Sway Bar Mounts

I have my new Moser 9" in my car now. It fit up pretty well, and I actually didnt end up with the torque arm to tunnel issues you sometimes hear about. My question is about the sway bar. It says to use 3" exhaust clamps. I have the clamps, but Im not sure how they are supposed to help. The bracket that goes around the bushing is smaller than the 3" clamps u-bolt? Help...Pics??...

I think I rememeber reading from Bob posting that you have to drill them out a bit or are they that much smaller? Not 100% sure though.

Yes indeed, use the U part of the 3.00" clamp and ream out the holes in your factory sway bar bottom brackets. Bob

I have a brand new Spohn sway bar mount kit. I was gonna use it for my Moser 9", but I ended up getting a BMR drag sway bar that came with mounts. The kit also comes with new end links. $75 shipped!

The BMR drag bar is a 1.25" solid anti sway bar. It's HUGE compared to the stocker.

The BMR bar is a stock style bar. It does a very good job of keeping the car level on launch. It still has the ability to flex some in the car due to the bushings and torsional forces.

A true drag bar does not twist or flex at all. It is made to do one thing, keep the entire car flat. That is why they are hell on the street. They do not allow for body roll.
