8.5 center section on our axle tubes

8.5 center section on our axle tubes Know i know this is a weird question but are the 8.5 10bolt axle tubes the same diameter as our 7.5 if so could the 8.5 center section be welded inbetween our axle tubes and just find a way to make a custom T/A. mount?? reason for asking is i can get a 8.5 center section for practially free

I highlighted your biggest problem. If you are a great fabricator, go for it. Otherwise, it isn't worth the effort, or the potential consequences if the fabbed torque arm mount fails.
