Default Where to get 12 bolt pinion seal?

I have a Moser 12 bolt and the pinion seal is leaking(surprise, NOT)the obvious answer is from Moser but I'd like to know if the seal can obtained locally? I also have the heavier 1350 yoke. Anybody got a part number for the seal? TIA,

Mark

I just replaced mine locally but I dont remember the part number off the top of my head. I'll check and see If I have it in the car in the morning.

Moser will send u a new seal for free. They have sent me two.

EDIT: BTW the tech there finally told me If I'm having leak problems to leave the front edge of the seal sticking about 1/8 inch out of the front of the housing. If I don't it will leak around the yoke which means it was probably machined wrong and they know this.

Just figure I'll keep the chain going here, my new Moser pinion seal is leaking like a siv too. Kinda makes me mad, for $2500, that thing should not have ANY problems. Oh well.

Mine leaked too. The shop that changed it ordered the part from 2 separate companies and it did not fit. Had to get it from Moser. They would not send me a free one. The rear had been on the car for only 2 months I will never get a Moser again, mainly due to their crapy customer service.

Rob SS,

I called Moser today and at first they told me to get the seal locally. I told them that i was told on this board that Moser would replace it FOC. They asked me for the invoice number and said they send one out today and I've had mine in 3 months. Call and complain about the lack of customer service you received. They also said they were going to include a spacer which goes behind the nut which should help keep the seal from leaking. All I need now is a crush washer.
