Rear end whining

Rear end whining I was never told that my car had different gear than stock. As far as I know, they are still stock, but they are whining. I know that Richmond gears whine, but like I said, I don't know if they are stock or aftermarket. Is there a way to find out if they are stock or aftermarket? Thanks.

the factory rearends aint to strong after a few good launches your rearend may start whining, even with stock gears. do you have any friend with the same kinda car you can drive by and check your RPMs with his. or take the diff. cover off and look, there are several ways to check gear ratios. your 6 speed should have 3.42s.

I'm assuming that it does because i get like 30 mpg on the highway in 6th gear and that was what they were supposed to run from the factory. I don't really have any friends that drive one, I used to race a couple, but I only saw them on the street and don't have their numbers or anything.
