What to do about my rear end? tru track VS detroit locker?
I have a Moser 9" rear end with alum center section, 35 spline axles and a spool. This is how the car was set up when i purchased it, but i would like to switch to a more street friendly configuration. I have had two routes suggested to me. The first is, get rid of the spool, keep the 35 spline axles and get a detroit locker. The other option is switch to a tru track diff with 31 spline axles, this would be most street friendly and cut down on rotational mass with smaller axles (claims 35 spline is unecessary).
I have heard mixed opinions on the locker, some say its noisy and can get annoying on the street, i dont know of anyone with one in my area so its hard to get a first hand experience.
What would you guys suggest? Thanks.

I have 35 spline axles and a Detroit Locker. After the first 50 miles of break in, It really isn't that bad. Mine is a weekend warrior/strip car and I don't drive it everyday. It makes some noises, clunks, but after a while you will not notice it. I love mine and wouldn't have it anyother way.
