9" with spool ?
9" with spool ? ok a buddy has a 9" with a spool. well the prob is that when turning the wholw axle housing shifts and makes the tires rub. I think it is the control arms and wanted to make them solid mount rather then have the polly bushings. prob only make the front bushings solid. what do you guys think about my idea and what the prob is and how to fix it. and yes the finders are trimed.

Re: 9" with spool ? Spherical rod ends might not solve the problem but could resolve a lot of the issue. They do make them with the spherical rod ends on both sides. Check with Thunder Racing. I know they sell the BMR race version with the rod ends on both sides.

are you sure its just not the tires skipping because the spool is not letting one tire turn faster than the other in turns???
can you turn the wheels completely, put it in reverse and still have the car move???

Re: 9" with spool ? no i know the difference and it deas not chirp that much because of soft side walls. the problem is the whole axle housing is shifting due to the high stres of the spool
