3" Studs with stock wheels possible?

I just put some ARP 3" wheel studs in my strange axles. I can't tighten down the lugs more than hand tight because i don't have a deep enough 13/16" socket. Any suggestions? I either need a really deep socket or some longer open end lugs. I can't seem to find either of these. Anybody got some suggestions?

My deep socket fits my longer 3" studs fine. I'm using a 1/2" drive which gives the stud some more room. I just wish I could install locks on my 17x11 ZR1 wheels.

which studs did you guys use?????
i cant seem to get the right ones......the first ones i got were too small(arp p/n 100-7701) and then the second ones i got(arp p/n 100-7702) are too big to fit in the axle!!

I'm at work so I can't look. They seam to be longer than my deep craftsman sockets. I ordered longer studs with my Moser 12 bolt. I'm also using 1/2" studs which are a tad thicker than 14mm.

Anyone have luck with open end locking nuts?

rodent: what lug nuts are you using on your 1/2" studs? I ordered some 45-degree conical nuts from summit for mine, I think the stock lugs are 60-degree conical though. Any thoughts?

These are ARP 1/2" 20 pitch thread studs. 3" long. 12 point heads. Moroso also sells the same thing. You can get them from jegs. These are for my strange axles in a 12 bolt.

Now that I was thinking about it I was using a 13/16" spark plug socket. I just went and bought a regular 1/2" drive 13/16 deep socket that may work. If it doesn't I'll try a 5/16" spacer behind the wheels. If that doesn't work i'm going to be cutting these wheel studs to 2.75" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I went to O'reilly's for lug nuts. They let me go in the back and rummage through all of the lugs they had.
