IDK. Will the car or driveshaft snap in half? I know lots of cars with power that don't have them.

No, but the stock one is a flimsy, flexing POS.. If you want to reduce wheel hop and increase traction then it's what you buy.

Also, and adjustable one can change the pinion angle and load the suspension for better times at the track..

Seems they may create problems as well.

Are you asking if you should upgrade or take it out all together?

If you do not have one installed the front of your rear will want to spin upward since you only have the bottom linked at the control arms.

Other cars that are not torque arm cars such as 4 link have two upper and two lowers that keep the rear in place so your driveshaft angle doesn't go out of place and the rear just doesn't spin around and rip out of the car. I guess I just don't understand the question?

Why would you say we are screwed? There are many very fast torque arm cars.

I think upgrading to an aftermarket Torque Arm is as important as putting Subrames on an f-body. All of the crap stamped steel around the car flexs horribly. After putting in LCA's, SFC's, Torque Arm, and Panhard the car seems much more controlled/stable. Even taking corners makes a world of differece of course. But if you want to see better 60's at the track, a torque arm is needed. Especially if your going to lower the car to reset the angle of the torque arm, lower contrl arms, and panhard rod.

Maybe see you cruising this summer if you'll be in the Newark region or at Cecil. Notheast isn't that far away from Newark.

If you want to hear a Loudmouth 1 only, I'll be in town next weekend with the WS6. Most likely be in Newark cruising at night, but let me know and I'll help you out.
