additive in rear?

additive in rear?

Is it necessary to put the additive in the rear or is it ok not to?, also do you have to put additive in before the oil or can you put it in afterwards?

Thanks man, I was hoping that was the case. I have changed gears and filled it with oil.

You only need additive with clutch type posi units. The Zexel-Torsen diffs that GM used in the last few years just need gear lube. If you jack up the car and leave the trans in gear, can you spin one wheel by hand? (and the other one turns backwards?) That is either an open diff or a Torsen (Had to mention open diff before someone jumped in to correct me). If it won't move, it is a clutch or cone type and needs additive.
