Look on your driver side door panel. GU2 = 2.73, GU5 = 3.23

gu5 3.23 just looked thanks matt, do you think 3.73 would make a noticable difference?
or a stall with 3.73 gears what stall should i run with, also consider it still is daily driven and taken to the track every so often. just want to get times down.

You'll pick up a few tenths going to 3.73's. With a stall (depending how big you go) you'll pick up a few tenths - half a second.

I went from 2.73's to 3.73's, and with a 20 degree drop, I picked up 7 tenths (5 tenths from the gear change IMO, 2 tenths for 20 degree drop).

I did gears first since it was cheaper than a stall + install. One of the best mods you can do to start off with. If you can afford both, do both at the same time.

I'm going from 3.23's to 3.73's & a 3600 stall from PTC on my car in a few weeks. My car is also my daily driver.

It will really help with that "dead" feeling area around 45-60 mph.

Hasen..Do you have the stock A4 in there? If so, you should look into getting a custom tranny built w/ shift kit. After I had mine built I knew right then and there I was glad to have a
A4 and a lot of m6 guys were in big trouble.

yes. if it's a M6, it will say GU6, as all 6spds come with 3.42's (98-02). 93's are the only M6's with 3.23's.
