Default Is a McCleod adj. master cylinder really needed with...

Someone told me that if I want to do it right, then I should get a McCleod adjustable master cylinder with a Spec Stage III.

Also, does this clutch package come with a new master and slave cylinder?

What about a flywheel?

Is an after market flywheel worth it?

I want my car to eventually make 400-450 RWHP.

What do you guys recommend?

Well now that I figured out how to bleed my McLeod Master Cylinder I can recommend them to other users. Yes, they are a pain to bleed. However once you get it bled right it shifts smooth! Plus the major advantage of an adjustable M/C is that you no longer need to worry about shims in your tranny. All clutch engagement point adjustments are done inside the car. It's a wise investment with your clutch selection. Just be sure to bleed it well!

I don't know about what comes with the Cartek setup, but most likely it does not come with a master nor a slave cylinder. You'll probably have to get those seperately.

Good luck,
Mike

If all the adjustments are done inside then why does Mcleod send something in the instructions about picking shims? I am about to install one so I'm curious if your statement is true (because no shims came in the box)

Mike i got a spec stage 3 and it did not come with slave or master cylinder i think you can get it with or with out a flywheel. i think spec has a new clutch out called generation 2 or something like that and you can use factory cylinders i got mine with a flywheel and got mccleod slave and adj master it cost total of around $920 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> .
