ur not going to be able to "fab" a rear end up unless u have alot of experience in custom metal fabrication. It's ALOT harder than most people think. The guy who built a 8.8 for me showed me step by step how to do it and there are jigs u need, u need to make sure everything it "plum" the angles are just right, ect. I'll send u a PM on the guy who builds the 8.8 for our cars.

A chassis guy could set one up but you might not be saving any money but you would have a nice custom rear end.

The only thing that irritates me is that the people that have the 8.8 treat it like you have to understand black magic to be able to get the 8.8 to work in an f-body. If you aren't going to share how you did it, then shut the f up.

I didn't do it, I had someone build me the rear end. I don't understand how it was EXACTLY done. all I know is it was build in a jig and it took the guy several weeks to get EVERYTHING right i.e. the pinion angle, TA mount, axle tubes, ect. If u want to know how it was built then ask him. Also, he has secrets on how he did certain things that makes his better than anyother 8.8 built.
