torque for me I've decided to get the slp/yank stealth 2600 1.9 str for my 2001 SS stock 3.23 gears and lid and free air mods 160 thermostat and fan controller I don't get to the track because there's none around close to me so I'm just staying with stock tires do you think I'll have traction or is it even worth putting this convertor in thanks .
I'd really like to hear from someone with this set up

Re: torque for me Waste of money on a 3.23 car. The SLP 2600 is really for a 2.73 gear car and even then I would go bigger.
With 3.23s you really should get the SY 3500. You can learn to launch it on street tires and the power from a roll will blow the 2600 away.
If you want something smaller, call TCS and get a 3200 stall with a 1.8 STR custom built.

Yes it is inexpensive, but for a couple hundred dollars more you get easily double the performance from a good 3000 stall converter.
