is gears a good or bad thing? i have a bolt on street car.. never pushin over more then 400 hp.. i currently have 342 in my M6 car.. i want to go with 410s. would this b smart thing to do? ive had gears in my mustang.. but i know the rear ends are weaker in fbodys.

the 10 bolts are hit n miss. somepeople can dog the crap out of them and they hold up, or in my case I pushed the gas a little to move my car from the driveway into the garage and it exploded., its more of a judgement call on your self.
you should be ok with street tire maby even with drag radials. i just wouldn't drop the clutch at 4000 with the 10 bolt. I have had 3 73'S in mine for few years and i dog the hell out mine and no problem yet.
I have heard mixed things about it..... my personal experience never really seen a problem with installing gears (me and a couple of buddies)...... always been the DR with a 4K+ clutch dump that seem to do 'em in. I LOVE my gears and would/will definately do it again.

I personally went with 373's instead...the 410's looked small even compared to the 373's. I went with being safe, since I don't race at the track more than 2-3 times a year.
