The 6 banger axles are the same length and spline ( watch out for abs variations ) but they are not as beefy as the V8 axles. THe 8 cyl versions are swollen and the 6 cyl are constant dia the entire length so not quite as strong but they will work

As cam mentioned axle length and spline are the same.
FYI...
My experience has been that LT1 axles will fit LS1 rears, however the bolt pattern and stud length are a little different, and factory LS1 rims will not mount without some grinding mods. to the center hub opening and proper length studs.

LS1 axles should fit an LT1 rear without issues, other than possible stud length adjustments.

I have not idea about 6 cyl axles, but I would not install in an LS1 or LT1 car if they were visually different... in other words not as beefy. Broken axles are no fun, especially c-clip axle designs.

well his car has chrome 10 spokes on there now. So they should still fit right on an ls1 axle perfectly then right ???
