Default is my yoke in enough?

check out my pictures... http://roy.shaptech.com/trans/

im having some wobbling and im thinking its the output shaft. im wonering if it was a prexisting condition that worsened or if the ds had any part in it.

there was vibration above 120...it kept getting worse...i jacked up the rear and theres a noticable wobble to the yoke

assuming the yoke was not in the trans enough, what could result from that? bent yoke, bent output shaft, bearings messed up?

Just pretend thats your johnson bar and you what to stick some chick thats how far you want it in there. and i would check your drive shaft loop looks close to rubbing on the top side of the shaft.

WOW - don't drive with that shaft!

My Denny's driveshaft only has about 1/8" of shaft showing. It is DEEP in the tranny.

You want as much contact between the yoke and the output shaft as possible. Yours is bad news.

well this is not too good to hear . i couldnt compare it to my stocker since it was torn in half . theres some fluid on the trans, that was my first clue that something wasnt right . i have quite a few miles on that setup (just changed the breakin fluid the other weekend, bout 1200 miles?). the vibrations at first seemed pretty normal, then they kept getting worse. im really glad nothing bad happened .

Hey Roy sorry I had to run last night when we were IM'ing about this... When you sent me the pics I thought you had partially pulled the DS out.

Yeah that's bad news, I am thinking that an inch or 1.5 inches might be how much the stock DS protrudes from the trans. Your DS looks like 3 inches or more too short. I'd contact the shop asap and get this taken care of wow.

its one of the shops on the right hand side . they havent returned my emails yet . ill try to give them a call later.

i talked to someone at another shop and they think its prolly just the bushing in the trans thats worn away now....15 dollar part. im hoping thats all thats broke, and of course the ds being too short.

<prays trans is ok>
