Car is sitting higher?

I just put the Moser 9" in my car. I was looking at the car the other day, and it seems like the back of the car is sitting higher than before. Is that normal? I have the stock springs with the isolator removed.

Pretty common. Mine sits a little bit higher with the 9" than it did with the stock rear.

Have heard that the axel tubes are a little larger in diameter which causes a larger gap from the tire to fender well. I know on my buddies Dana 60 that was the case so it must apply to the 9s as well.

Well that sucks. Anybody know of a lowering spring that's not too firm? If I recall correctly the Eibach drag spring also makes the rear sit higher, so I want to avoid that, but I do want something that's going to work well at the drag strip.

Just remove the spring isolator and replace it with some heater hose....that'll put you about where you were before the 9".

That's what I have now. Now that I think of it though, I probably don't want to go much lower for clearance.

Maybe try a set of rear Strano springs with the stock isolators, I think the Strano springs have just a little more spring rate than stock, which may also help with the added weight of the 9''. Just a thought.
