short stick?

short stick? ive read about the after market shifters. personally i have no problem shifting my plain stock one. my ? is has anyone put a short stick on their stock NON hurst shifter? any improvement? thanks.

but don't waste the $50. Just do it right the first time and buy the Pro 5.0 and LSS (only LSS others are a joke).
Afterthoughtsauto.com has the complete kit with the Pro 5.0 and LSS for $215. It doesn't get any better than that
Ls1speed will try to sell you their short stick for the pro 5.0- don;t waste the time it is a complete POS.
For the Pro 5.0 you need a bend in the handle to properly align everything. LSS has this down. The one Ls1speed pawns off is nothing more than a piece of cheap barstock with threads and two holes drilled.

Re: short stick? I have LSS and I could not be happier. I also have the factory Hurst, but the improvement was great. I assume that it wouls also be great with the factory shifter.

Re: short stick? I did a B&M ripper and removed a factory Hurst....it was teh best money I ever spent (and getting rid of the stock shift **** that "spins" on hot days iw well worth it. I used a black Hurst **** with the 6 speed shift pattern on it and a jam nut....problem solved!!!). Just my experience. GOod luck!
