what is ABS worth to you?
it seems every good deal i find i have to sacrifice ABS becuase its a 4 channel rear and my car is a 3 channel car...or i have to pay more when ordering a brand new rear....
i cant bring myself to buy a rear thats not going to retain my ABS even if i can buy it for 1200 dollars less then what it would cost brand new....
ahhh so heres the question...how much savings would it take for you to for go the ABS option...
well?

You don't need your abs. I had a 3 channel rear, and went to a 4 channel...like you said, I got a good deal. Just make sure you pull out your ABS fuse if you do go that route, or you may end up losing your brakes like I did. Then pull out the guage cluster a just enough to get a needle nose pliers back there to pop the ABS light.

I'm not sure why it was doing it, but the car was trying to figure out why the abs wasn't working. I would push the brake pedal to slow down, and it would damn near hit the floor, then start vibrating, and the ABS light would come on, but there was hardly any pressure going to the brakes. This was immediately after switching rear-ends. I pulled the ABS fuse, and everything was fine. A few other people on this board have had the same thing happen. So make sure you pull the ABS fuse when you switch rear-ends. With the fuse pulled, the ABS system is completely turned off....not half-way turned off because it's not hooked up to the rear-end.

If I was using my car for a daily driver, I'd keep the ABS/TCS, no questions asked. It isn't your driving ability in question...it is the ability of the idiot that just pulled out in front of you on a rainy day that you couldn't help.
That being said, I purposely ordered my Strange 12-bolt with no ABS/TCS provisions, and haven't looked back since. The car is a nice weather only/weekend only car.
